I have a long trip on an airplane coming up and I will have my laptop with me. I was trying to decide on what games to install to occupy my time (going with significant other, so looking toward something fun and interactive for two people). yes textbook knowledge is the beginning but you also need to the street knowledge in return makes you able to teach someone the basics. But the twist is in real life today the clients need to be taught how to pay it forward to gain the ability to walk with their heads up not down looking on the sidewalk and feeling ashamed for who they are!How do you show mental health workers that it takes more than text book knowledge to help a client to survive?
u r so very right book knowledge is just that...I've been working n psych nursing for 10 years now and i can relate with alot of my patients due to the fact that i know how it feels to b depressed and suicidal and i find that when ur patient knows that u have been there and that u completely %26amp; actually understand what their going through (and i don't hesitate to tell them my story) they don't feel so alone then they take a look at how u have survived through it, it gives some inspiration. I've had patients get better go back to school and get a job in this field...Just like the ppl who do the AA and NA classes what r they gonna tell me about what it says in the book.......sure ok...the best ppl for these kinds of support positions r ppl who r recovering addicts/alcoholics...they can tell u faaaaaaaaaaar more than some book
yes that will be a job in itself.... i have a few MHT's that work under me and it is very ez to tell who has the compassion and understanding 2 b dealing with our patients. Even giving different senerios or even role playing won't allow 1 to honestly comprehend these feelings of our patients..
and it really saddens me and therefore i feel that some of these patients who r dealing with inexperienced MHT's (or 2 b honest any of the staff whom has never felt this way) r being misunderstood....it's terrible..if would b nice if behavioral hospitals only hired ppl who have been there.

The Bible is and never was meant to be a science book, anyone interpreting it that way is simply mistaken. What gets me though is the fact that the vast majority of Christians are not literalists has been explained over and over to you. Yet still you insist that the Bible can only be taken literally. This can only mean one of three possibilities: 1. You are aware fully of this but do it anyways because you have no other reason to reject faith. 2. You are incapable of learning. 3. My sent text messages on my Nokia Twist keep disappearing?
This happened with the last Nokia Twist I had and I had to get a new one. My text conversations are in a list and the outgoing texts that I send at in yellow and the incoming ones are in white. Well every time I send a text, my send text disappears from the list. The message still sends but I can't see it. It's very frustrating! Is there anyway I can fix this or should I just say screw it and send it back and get a different phone? Just to tell you right off the bat, nokia sucks. And you might be out of room in your text inbox/outbox. There is normally on every phone an auto delete feature in the settings that deletes an old sent text or an old received text. You can turn that off but be warned, your inbox might get full alot!

Exodus also makes it plain that it is permissible to eat plants, to attempt to cure disease, etc. etc. etc. Exodus *also* makes it plain that killing a person is murder **with a very few explicitly defined exceptions**.
So, *when* this passage is taken in context, we see clearly that "Thou shalt not kill" means "thou shalt not murder". Further, we can see that "thou shalt not murder" is, in fact, a *literal* interpretation of this passage - a more *narrow* interpretation, it is true, but a literal one nonetheless.
This is **almost always** the case in scriptural interpretation. A literal interpretation - one supported by other scriptures - is **almost always** what is required. It only goes to show, how many thousand ways can a simple book be interpreted. And if it was really the word of an all-knowing being, I'm sure they'll be a lot less to be "interpreted."

What browser are you using? My first thought is that you don't have java enabled, or that you are blocking pop-ups. I know that games aren't thought of as pop-ups, but they often use the same programs and are interpreted that way.

Lol thats after you've turned off your computer that is. Don't ever unplug/turn off the computer with windows running if you can help it. Doing so might result in damaging system files preventing windows from working properly or starting at all.
If a reboot doesn't help try deleting your internet cache. If your using Internet Explorer open it up and click on Tools - Internet Options - Delete Files - Ok. Its also got a button to delete cookies that may help. Failing all that try getting a new copy of Shockwave flash off the internet (macromedia.com?) and installing that.I was playing text twist on yahoo every day now i cant open the game, ive tried enabling cookies??????
